Came upon my first gobbler while on foot not far from the house. He was strutting in the middle of the road with some hens.

Coming home from work yesterday while driving down a back road checking some corn fields I had a jake that wouldn’t move out of the road. I had to stop the truck and wait for him to decide what to do, which was fly up a tree and watch me drive by.

On sunday we went to another bow shoot and on our ride came upon plenty of fields with strutters. While driving to the inlaws yesterday we also seen some nice birds strutting. It was cold and very windy out but that didnt stop them.

In the last three days I’ve started to see gobblers by themselfs, these are the boys that will come quickly to some calling trying to get a girlfriend.
