Your Bass Fishing Tip Of The Day Is
Crankbaits with longer bills run deeper and have a wider wobble than lures with small bills. For better depth control, use a lighter weight line, but not too light, at least 10 pound test or better.
Ever think about drop shotting a crankbait or suspending jerkbait ? We have too ! Well, here’s how to do it.Take your crankbait or jerkbait you’d like to modify, and position the split ring forward, directly in the center of the bill.
Now with a small drill bit, drill a hole through the lip going through the split ring from the top side.To rig the bait, tie on to the bait’s split ring, leaving an 8- to 12-inch tag.Run the tag end through the hole you drilled and attach a drop shot weight. Be sure to use a heavy enough weight to sink the bait at the desired rate. You can adjust the amount of action the crankbait has by modifying the size of the hole you drill. A bigger hole allows for more wiggle. That’s all there is to it. Give it a try on your next day on the lake.
