Coyote Hunters say that late season hunters have a harder time calling in coyotes because they are educated. When is the late season for coyote hunting? Is there a best time to call coyotes? Are coyotes less active in the winter?

The best time of the year to hunt coyotes is in the winter time. This is the time in which most have nice thick fur and will bring the most money on the fur market.
Anytime is a good time. Killing coyotes is my game.
Right after deer season using hand calls. The best time is late January and early February during mating season. If you run into “Educated” coyotes, change your calls, don’t use just one like a dieing rabbit but mix them together. Make it sound like the coyote is trying to locate others, then kills a rabbit. To many coyote hunters use a dying rabbit which educates them.
If you are just wanting to be outside and hunt something the late summer early fall is good. The pups are just learning to hunt on their own and will run over the top of one another to get to a coyote call. The only thing about warm weather hunting is that their pelts are not very nice. Late in the winter when they are very hungry. Like anything else they will lose some of there common sense when its about 0 degrees and they are hungry.
what do u think is the best time to hunt coyotes daylight or nighttime hours?
To Sniper, The daytime is the best time for obvious reasons . One is safety and the other is that you can shoot farther. Coyotes will run around during the daylight hours and most hunt them during this time.
Anytime is a good time to hunt coyotes as far as I am concerned. But here in NY it’s from October 1st to March 31st.
